General

Whether you call it a guitarlele, children's guitar or travel guitar, this Korala PUG-40-PK is an exceptionally agreeable, versatile instrument. Its size makes it the perfect instrument for children, and its six strings make it easy to transfer all the chord shapes you learn to a full-size guitar later on - far easier than it would be with a ukulele (which has four strings). Even though the tuning of a guitalele is a quarter higher than a standard guitar (ADGCEA), the way you play chords is exactly the same. The other side of the story is that guitarists who have difficulties with the alternate tuning of a ukulele can go all out on the Korala without having to adapt to the way it's played.

Construction of the Korala PUG-40-PK

The body and neck of the Korala PUG-40 are made completely out of acoustically optimised polycarbonate. Tone-wise, it is just as good as wooden version with the same price. The big plus of plastic, however, is that it is unaffected by changes in humidity or temperature, making the PUG-40 the perfect travel companion. Whether you're playing at 86 or 41 degrees, the Korala will retain its tuning marvellously. The PUG-40 is available in a number of dashing colours, including this pink one.

Bax Music Warranty This product comes with a 3-year warranty.
