General

The Kala KA-CEMB is a concert ukulele made of mahogany that has an exceptionally warm sound. It has a beautiful blue satin-gloss finish with black bindings. The string nut and the bridge saddle are both made of Graphtech Nubone XB that enhances this uke's excellent resonance and sound projection.

Exotic Mahogany Series

Ukuleles from the Kala Exotic Mahogany Series are significantly higher-quality than the entry-level models, but without the expensive price tag of a model in the higher price bracket. What makes this series so special is its three-dimensional wood grain pattern that varies per model from wavy to symmetrical. It comes in a soprano, concert, and tenor version and includes a gig bag.

Prachtige ukelele in mooie blauwe kleur.
Nog niet veel op gespeeld want ik moet het nog leren.
De keuze voor deze is omdat ik veel goede recensies gelezen heb op internet en gezien heb op YouTube.

Als aanvulling op mijn review hierboven (excuses). Ik heb het over een gitaarband maar dit is natuurlijk een ukeleleband (is korter) maar het is een band zoals een gitaarband, dus niet de ukeleleband met een haaktje dat je in het klankgat hangt.
En, zoonlief (ervaren gitarist) was erg te spreken over deze ukelele, hij kan het bespelen wel beoordelen, vandaar de 5 sterren.

Mooi afgewerkte ukelele in een hele mooie kleur blauw. Mooie klank. Als beginneling kan ik over het bespelen nog niet heel veel zeggen omdat ik daar de ervaring niet voor heb. De reden dat ik deze - toch wat duurdere - ukelele heb gekocht is dat ervaren bespelers ervan zeggen dat deze erg geschikt is voor een beginneling maar dat de kwaliteit zo goed is dat je er als gevorderde op kunt blijven spelen.
Om niet bezig te hoeven zijn met het krampachtig vasthouden heb ik er zelf knoppen aan gemaakt om een gitaarband te bevestigen, dit was een fluitje van een cent. (instructiefilmpjes op YouTube gekeken)
