The Kala KA-GL-KOA guitarlele is a combination of a guitar and a ukulele that is tuned to A-D-G-C-E-A, which is the same tuning as having a capo on the fifth fret of a standard guitar. This means how chords are played remains the same. The Kala Koa Guitarlele is equipped with a solid spruce top and koa sides and back for plenty of volume and warm overtones, respectively.

Wrote the following about Kala Koa Guitarlele

Deze guitarlele ziet er mooi uit met bindingen van hout en een mooi halfmatte afwerking. De klank is voor de vier hoogste snaren als van een ukelele, maar door de lagere twee erbij kun je 'm toch als een gitaar bespelen (alsof er een capo op de vijfde fret zit). je merkt dat dit model een massief bovenblad heeft, het klinkt niet blikkerig maar heeft een mooie warme klank als van een goede ukelele. De tuners zijn kwalitatief ook top, dus de stemming wordt goed vastgehouden. De halsbreedte van 48 mm maakt dat je niet alleen akkoorden, maar ook fingerstyle kunt spelen. Ideaal reisinstrument of voor thuis op de bank.
