Apart from the unique look, ziricote wood is also very popular because of its unique and funky sound which lies somewhere in between Indian rosewood and Macassar ebony. However, ziricote produces a more sparkling sound than rosewood, and warmer overtones than ebony. Available in different sizes, this model is fora concert ukulele and comes with a Kala gig bag. Types of wood and hardware
A sturdy mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard complement the look of this Kala Concert Ukulele’s Ziricote body. The spring nut and bridge saddle are both made of Graphtech Nubone XB, and four closed Kala machine heads make sure this concert ukulele stays in tune. In short, the Kala Ziricote Concert Ukulele has it all!
Kala Brand Music Company
Kala Brand Music Company was founded by Mike Upton in the USA in 2005 and produces hand-made ukuleles, U-basses and guitars in Petaluma, California. Just like with their ukulele basses in 2007, Kala has made a name for themselves with their signature Elite series, which has globally put the brand on the map. Kala invested a lot in creating instruments that have a distinct sound as well as comfortable playability. Since then, the company has been providing ukulele players all around the world with quality instruments at a great price.
