General

The Ortega Bamboo Series RUNAB-BA is a baritone ukulele built from solid bamboo. The top, sides, back, neck and fingerboard are all made of bamboo This makes it special: bamboo is not wood, but a fast-growing grass that is surprisingly stiff and resonant. The result is a warm, clear sound with the open character you expect from a solid instrument. Stylish thanks to the beautiful veins of the bamboo and the lasered rosette gives it a stylish, natural look!

Playing and amplifying in one instrument

This baritone ukulele has a scale of 510 mm, which makes the Ortega RUNAB-BA slightly larger than is usual for baritones. This gives you more space on the neck and a deeper, richer sound that suits guitarists switching to ukulele nicely. Moreover, the ukulele can also be amplified thanks to the built-in Ortega MagusUke electronics: a compact preamp with a volume and tone control. And features a built-in tuner with two-colour display that conveniently mutes the signal for you while tuning. The Graph Tech Ratio friction tuners in matt black keep the tuning reliable even during longer playing sessions and the RUNAB-BA comes with a sturdy gig bag made of heavy duty nylon, wide shoulder strap, neck lock and two accessory pockets. The Ortega Bamboo Series RUNAB-BA is a fine all-round baritone ukulele, perfect for beginners or guitar switchers!
