Basically merging two instruments into one, the Ortega Lizard Series CAIMAN-FL-GB short-scale bass ukulele shapes a deep warm sound full of bright accents. The walnut fretboard has been kept clean of any frets so you can play fluid, double bass-style bass lines, while the welcome cutaway provides access to the highest notes. This high-quality bass uke can be played unplugged or jacked into an acoustic amp thanks to the built-in MagusUkeBass electronics, which even include an integrated tuner so you can tune up on the spot. Allowing you to hit the road right away, Ortega thoughtfully throw in a deluxe gig bag.

Looks beautiful- and the reason I bought it to replace my Kala.

Dubious quality machine heads - sent mine back when one jammed under warranty - gratefully it was replaced with a new Uke. Good service!

Low output from the pickup/pre—amp compared to the Kala which is disappointing. It’s fine at home but I’ll be keeping the Kala for gigging.
