General

Kan je maar niet kiezen tussen gitaar en ukelele of wil je gewoon die pittige ukelele-klank maar verkies je het spelen op zes snaren, dan is een guitarlele de juiste keuze. Deze RGL5EB uit de Timber Series van Ortega is een mooi afgewerkte kruising tussen ukelele en klassieke gitaar, met zes nylon snaren die iets hoger gestemd worden, meerbepaald in A-D-G-C-E-A. Dit kleine instrument biedt veel mogelijkheden aan gitaristen die hun sound willen uitbreiden of op zoek zijn naar een compact instrument.

Natuurlijke look

De RGL5EB heeft een body van gelamineerd ebbenhout en een mahoniehouten hals met walnoot toets. Het hele instrument is afgewerkt met een open pore finish, waardoor de karakteristieken van het donkere hout volledig tot hun recht komen en de guitarlele een heel natuurlijke look krijgt. I bought these strings for my Cordoba Mini guitar that has a 510mm scale length (just over 20 inches) and tunes to A just like a classical guitar with a capo on the 5th fret (NOTE: IT IS NOT the Mini II that has a longer scale length and tunes to standard E). It was a previously owned one from a music store and came strung with new ball-end full scale classical guitar strings that sounded muddy and dead. These Aquila 96C Guilele/Guitarlele strings are recommended for A-tuned instruments with a shorter scale length of 17 inches (432mm) which is normal for a Guilele, but I thought i would test them anyway. Usually the same strings will feel tighter on a longer scale length than on a shorter scale length instrument and 78mm (3 inches) is quite a difference. I am very pleased with the sound. The strings feel and sound more alive and the mini guitar rings better. It sounds more snappy and a bit more like a guilele than a scaled down classical guitar, and that is what I wanted.

would have given five stars but, the nut that holds the bolt to lock the height bar is not fixed in but only held by a rubber gasket in the inside of the bar. When I unscrewed the bolt fully the nut fell out. Very tricky trying to replace it. How ever overall I'm pleased with the stand and would buy again.

Hij doet zn werk, echter soms pakt hij wel de verkeerde snaren op dus let goed op dat je op het schermpje de goede snaar ziet staan, voordat je aan de knopjes gaat draaien

Kost niet veel, is niet veel.
Tuner reageert traag en soms helemaal niet. Dat is niet wat je wil. Stand Chromatisch werkt beter dan stand gitaar. Als ie reageert dan wel een duidelijk beeld.
Ik gebruik ook een D'addario tuner die is veel sneller (alleen display beetje vaal).
Koopadvies: Geef een paar euro's extra uit en zoek verder!
