General

Tanglewood also supplies electric-acoustic ukulele in its Tiare range with woods from the Great Ocean region. The T13 is a concert uke version with cutaway to make an equal musical luau. The body is constructed entirely of Pacific walnut and glued to an okoume neck, giving the joyful tones of this small stringed instrument plenty of warmth and extra depth. As a matter of fact, you could step right onto the stage with the Tiare T13. This is because the Tanglewood TEQ-TUT preamp and the accompanying piezo element allow you to amplify this uke. After tuning it with the built-in tuner, simply adjust the volume and tone knobs and you are ready to play right away.
