Rode’s NT1 is a sibling of the renowned NT1-A studio microphone. The NT1 has completely been redesigned so that the two only share the same grille. What's new, however, is the 1-inch, cardioid capsule. You will find that the NT1 combines the quality of the industry’s best-loved mics with a refined low-noise design. Part of this low-noise design is the internal Rycote Lyre suspension system, which helps to protect the capsule. The NT1 Kit: SM6 Shock-Mount & More

The NT1 Kit comes with the Rode SM6 shockmount complete with integrated pop filter. Since the NT1 is suspended in perfect isolation, free of handling noise and other types of unwanted resonance, you can easily make the most of your recordings, while annoying plosives (popping noises) are countered by a pop filter that can be removed and cleaned as needed. To finish, you get an ever-useful 3/8-inch-and-5/8-inch screw thread adapter, a 6-metre long XLR cable, and a microphone cover.

Rode NT1-Kit Studio Condenser Microphone

I love Rode Products and have a number of different mics for different scenarios.

I have a bass to baritone voice and this is the best mic for me with a lower high end. I think it adds to the richness of my voice.

I also have an NT1A, which is also a great mic, but, in my opinion, is best suited to a slightly higher frequency voice (I record my granddaughter using this one for VO work).

Definitely recommend.
