The Dunlop 535Q Crybaby is every guitarist's dream wah-wah pedal come to life. This versatile wah pedal can be fully adjusted in detail to suit your preferences, thanks to the choice of six different Crybaby sounds, the popular variable Q filter, and a switchable volume / boost control. The heart of the 535Q Multi-Wah is the legendary Fasel inductor, which works to give the pedal the authentic sound and feel of an original '60s Crybaby pedal. Basically, this is the ultimate guitar effect pedal a plethora of music styles, from funky riffs to heavy metal shredding!
How does the 535Q Crybaby Multi-Wah work?
We're glad you asked. On the right side of the pedal you'll find a 6-position rotary knob. With this Wah-Range, you can adjust the frequency range of the pedal, also known as the sweep, which is the tone range of the wah effect when you move the pedal back and forth. The 535Q also offers excellent range of effects, from the warm, subtle sound of the Bass Crybaby to the punchy sharp sounds of the Original Crybaby. Once you've set up the range, you can use the variable Q to control the intensity of the effect, and there's also a volume control that you can use to boost the signal up to +16 dB to make your solos heard far and wide. Simply press down the red button on the side of the pedal to activate the boost function.
Robust, high-quality wah-wah pedal
The 535Q Crybaby Multi-Wah is built like a tank. Its robust die-cast aluminium housing keeps it safe from the most extreme stage experiences, and the pedal is equipped with a solid switch and top-quality jack connectors for optimal signal transfer. In addition, the 535Q is equipped with Dunlop's 100-kOhm Hot Potz potentiometer, which has a long lifespan and guarantees a clear sound. The Dunlop 535Q Crybaby Multi-Wah can be powered by a 9V battery (not included) or via the optional Dunlop ECB005 AC adapter. It has a unique cover on the bottom for direct battery access to make changing the battery quick and easy.

Deze wah is een mooi ding: stevige behuizing, true bypass en verandering van effect "range". Wat een beetje jammer is alleen is dat je de Q control een keer instelt en dan zo laat om dat het knopje ernstig klein is. Ook is het een beetje jammer dat er geen led aanwezig is. De boost gebruik ik elf niet o vaak maar die zou natuurlijk wel wat meer pit aan jouw solo's kunnen geven.

- Un bouton "Q" l'equaliseur de la wah pour regler le timbre.
- Un bouton pour régler le gain : plus ou moins fort, bien sympa.
- Un bouton (le rouge) pour actionner la disto ou pas.
- Un sélecteur de fréquence 6 positions, plus ou moins grave, super pratique pour modéliser son propre son.
Une très bonne pédale, et polyvalente (Merci Dunlop).

Nadeel is dat de 2 draaiknoppen (volume en q) vrij klein zijn, en hun stand moeilijk uit te lezen is. Dat laatste geldt ook voor de 6 standen schakelaar. Je moet hem op ooghoogte neerzetten om hem goed in te kunnen stellen. Echter zolang je niet veel wilt varieren in je wah-sound, dan is dit geen echt probleem. Ook zitten de draden van de voeding en de uitgangskabel soms in de weg bij het instellen van de q-functie. Het was m.i. handiger als de voedingsaansluiting op de voorkant zou zitten zoals bij Boss.
Levering van Bax was weer als vanouds: goed verpakt en zeer vlot!
