Dunlop brings us a tribute to the first wah-wah pedal ever with the Clyde McCoy Cry Baby Wah Wah. This pedal has that authentic wah sound and expressive sweep of the 21st century, making it a modern classic that brings you the tone and spirit of the first Clyde McCoy pedals produced by the Thomas Organ Company and Jen Electronics back in the '60s.

Dunlop Clyde McCoy Cry Baby Wah Wah: Halo coil

The most important feature of a wah-wah pedal is, of course, its sound. The original Clyde McCoy wah-wah made use of a unique component called Halo, which is the coil that produced the coveted smooth vocal quality. The construction of the Halo coil, however, did produce a lot of unwanted microphone noise along with it. For this reason, Dunlop created the HI01 Halo Inductor, a revamped version of the original that doesn't produce any undesired noise.

The best of old and new

Along with an authentic-sounding Halo coil, the rest of the circuit from the CM95 Clyde McCoy Cry Baby Wah Wah has been kept true to its classic predecessor. As such, you'll find thru-hole circuit board components with a vintage style. The potentiometer, switch and jacks are all modern, high-end components that follow the original specifications. Furthermore, a 9V adapter input has been added so you can save your batteries as well as integrate the pedal into a pedal board with multi-power.
