Ibanez present the WH10V3: a most versatile wah pedal fitted with a frequency range switch that makes it suitable for electric and bass guitars. Via the rotary knob, you can select the desired depth and by choosing between true or buffered bypass you can optimally integrate the effect pedal into your set-up. This third-gen version of the popular WH10 Classic Wah Pedal is yet another step forward and we totally get why it's one of John Frusciante's favourite pedals.

The WH10V3 is a great sounding wah pedal which offers something a little bit different to a typical Cry Baby wah pedal. The depth control on the Ibanez makes it super versatile allowing you to dial in your desired wah tone and is capable of anything from a subtle light and funky tone all the way up to deep quack-like tone. The WH10V3 handles it all really well! Other features include a switchable bypass between true and buffered as well as a frequency switch depending on whether you’re playing guitar or bass which is super handy. Overall, this is an excellent sounding wah pedal and a great all-rounder!

Ik kocht deze reissue van de Ibanez WH10 omdat ik, zoals iedereen die deze wah koopt, grote fan ben van John Frusciante.
De reissue is qua geluid trouw aan het origineel en bevat enkele leuke nieuwigheden zoals een stevigere behuizing van metaal (origineel was plastic) en een true bypass switch (het origineel was enkel buffered bypass en zorgde voor wat bekend staat als een "tone-suck" waarbij alle high end uit je signaal verdwijnt).
Deze updates zijn dus zeker welkom.
Natuurlijk zijn er ook wat mankementen van het origineel gebleven in de reissue, zoals de zeer moeilijke aan/uit knop. Hier valt wel wat aan te doen.
Qua geluid, hier moet je voor zijn deze wah is niet zoals een Vox of een Crybaby. Hij heeft zijn eigen unieke geluid.
