General
Inspired by the Midrange Boost function of one of their amplifier designs, back in 1967, VOX introduced the legend that became the wah-wah pedal and ushered in a sonic revolution. Initially, the goal was to imitate the incomparable muted trumpet sound of the one-and-only Clyde McCoy, but later, this effect pedal would become an essential tool for many an iconic guitarist.
The VOX Real McCoy: The Real Thing
This new edition of the Real McCoy wah is an accurate reproduction of the much-loved holy-grail of wahs - right down to the components, so the somewhat mysterious and sought-after sound of the vintage McCoy has been captured in full. The result is a wah-pedal that doesn't just mimic the sound of the original, but the look - from the shape of the housing to the kind of screws holding it together. With the Real McCoy, you're getting the same iconic nasal tone and emphasised mids as the OG, so you can enhance your guitar tone with some classic warmth and irresistible melodic character.
