The Aodyo Sylphyo is the undeniable chameleon of the world of electronic wind instruments and is capable of all of the expressive nuances of an acoustic instrument. However, with the Sylphyo, you can not only perfect various modern techniques but play with MIDI controlled virtual instruments. The mouthpiece is based on that of a recorder so there's no need for complex blowing techniques while, even better for practising beginners, the Sylphyo is fitted with a direct headphone output.
Play with both Valves and Gestures
The Sylphyo has eight finger-holes along its length and the fingering can be flipped through 40 settings including that of a recorder, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, trumpet and even a set of bagpipes. Along the underside, there's a button to toggle the octave up or down and a slider that can be manipulated by the thumb to pull even more nuance out of your sound. Built-in sensors react to the way the Sylphyo moves, meaning that vibrato can be added by lightly shaking the instrument and large, expressive gestures will also effect the sound. Internal Sound Generator
While the Aodyo Sylphyo comes with seven sounds on board, using it as a MIDI controller is what really opens it up. Connect it to your computer or laptop via the included USB cable or get hold of the optional Aodyo Link-System and play virtual instruments with this complex yet elegantly simple instrument.
