In many ways, the Roland Aerophone Pro AE-30 is a solidly enhanced and improved version of its predecessor. This digital wind instrument features a refined design and has been made using first-class parts to offer a superb playing experience and unprecedented expression. The default fingering of the Aerophone Pro is the same as that of an acoustic sax and includes a high F# key, but other fingerings and adjustable control elements are also supported to accommodate musicians who are used to different wind instruments.

The Roland Aerophone Pro AE-30: ZEN-Core

One of the freshest features of the Aerophone Pro includes the integration of Roland's ZEN-Core Synthesis System. This potent sound engine was recently introduced by other Roland-made flagships including the Fantom and Jupiter-X synthesizers. As such, the ZEN-Core engine driven Aerophone Pro offers an immense range of presets; many created by the world's most acclaimed wind-synth sound-designers. From vintage analogue synthesizer sounds to more modern, hybrid samples, everything is fully backed up by the rich expression and detailed articulation that only a wind instrument can deliver.

SuperNATURAL Technology

The number of wind instruments the Aerophone Pro is home to can easily be considered impressive. You basically get the pick of a complete brass and woodwind section, and whether you go for one of the new trumpets, the duduk, or simply a soprano, alto or tenor saxophone, it only takes a second to call up your preferred sound. Not only that, the Aerophone features SuperNATURAL technology to make sure you're able to give shape to subtle tonal nuances with flawless articulation across a large dynamic range. There are even built-in effects such as chorus, delay and reverb that can be dropped in to colour-up the sound at will, and the internal memory has room for 600 user scenes plus another 512 user tones.

Roland Aerophone Pro Bluetooth-MIDI

Since technological and hardware-based developments never cease, the Aerophone Pro has been equipped with some of the latest technological tweaks - including Bluetooth-MIDI and a MIDI footswitch input. For silent late-night practice, a pair of headphones can be plugged in, while on stage, the AE-30 Pro can be hooked up to an amplifier via the fitted line output. The small OLED display can be viewed from all angles for eased setting navigation, and for access to even more options, Roland offer the Aerophone Pro Editor app for both iOS and Android devices.
