Rane's MP26 mixer may look very similar to its predecessor, the MP25, but offers a couple of interesting extras. Both mixers have the same rugged black looks, but at a size of 5 U, the MP26 is slightly larger than the MP25. That doesn't mean it's not nicely compact and mobile, though! The MP26 can easily be used for smaller spaces and can take a hit too, thanks to a sturdy steel housing that makes it suitable for on-the-road applications as well.
Rane MP26: just a little more edge
The MP26 is equipped with four high-grade phono preampliers, as well as four analogue aux inputs, a low-latency USB output and an impressive range of additional effects. The Rane mixer may look a little old-fashioned, but don't let that fool you - it's packed with modern digital functions. A built-in 22-channel USB sound card (including five stereo playback channels and six stereo recording channels) allows you to send audio signals directly to your recording equipment. The four decks of the mixer enable you to control the parameters of your software via USB. In short, the Rane MP26 gives you just a little more edge and functionality.
