Six slots, the same On Slot Technology as its larger and smaller counterparts, and with a feature that the OST-4 and OST-10 don’t have! The Heritage Audio OST-6 V2.0 features a built-in, all-metal handle and detachable rack ears. This is the version for those who want something between ‘compact’ and ‘fully equipped’ – and who regularly take their rack out of the studio. Each of the six slots has its own individually regulated and isolated power supply, rather than the shared parallel power supply used by most racks in this class. No more brown-out when you plug in a power-hungry Class A or valve module, no crosstalk between channels – and, specifically for mic preamps, often even lower self-noise than the same module would exhibit in a standard rack. For the engineer who wants six slots with reliable, isolated power supplies (enough for a serious preamp/EQ/compressor combination) and actually wants to be able to take that rack with them to another location or session.
