General
The 312 microphone preamp was first introduced in the 1970s and definitively put the punchy API sound on the map. The vintage VU meter not only looks cool, the old-fashioned VU meter is simply still a very fine way to adjust your gain. Like the early ones from the 70s, this 312 lunchbox module has a 2520 OP Amp which gives you a solid 69 dB of gain. You can now screw this classic design by API founder Saul Walker into your own series 500 lunchbox.
