While a traditional accordion gives you a large amount of control over the instrument's expression, it's only capable of producing one sound. Roland's FR-4X-RD V-Accordion, on the other hand, takes things to the next level by opening up a whole new world of possibilities. It has 100 accordion sets on board as well as a huge number of orchestral sounds and effects. Organs and even strings and drums are all available on this Limited Edition in red.

Traditional yet modern

The FR-4X-RD has an intuitive layout featuring 37 keys and 120 bass buttons with velocity sensitivity that can be turned off if required. Thanks to the pressure sensor on the bellows, you can expect the same response as a traditional accordion. As well as the available sound options, there are a number of effects on board too including chorus, reverb and rotary effects. Share your music with the FR-4X

Playing music and recording with the Roland FR-4X is easy thanks to the built-in USB port. There's also a headphone socket for when you want to practise in silence. When you want to make some noise, however, the FR-4X has its own powerful sound system on board featuring two speakers and a tweeter. It's even possible to connect this digital accordion to external MIDI devices. For performing live, there's a Line Out so that you can connect directly to something like a PA or mixer.
