In the deluxe form of the Dragonfly 4, Michael Kelly offers up an impressive electro-acoustic bass with a quilted maple body finished in a Smoke Burst paint job to give the liquid-like wood grain room to shine through. From there, abalone and mother-of-pearl inlay work surrounds the soundhole and creeps up the ovangkol fretboard in an intricate and organic design with a dragonfly set at third fret. Inside, a Fishman Sonicore piezo pickup backed up by a Fishman Presys+ Bass preamp guarantees full amplified sound that's simply moulded to shape via the fitted volume, bass, middle, treble, notch, brilliance, and phase controls, and as a handy bonus, this stage-ready model also features a built-in tuner.
