Featuring a thinline body without a sound hole to eliminate the risk of feedback, the Sire Marcus Miller GB5 5-string electro-acoustic bass guitar literally gives you the best of both worlds. While not as loud as a full-size acoustic bass, this lightweight, chambered model features a solid spruce soundboard for an extra rich-and-resonant foundation sound, with the mahogany back and sides adding just the right amount of warmth.

The Marcus Miller GB5: Edgeless Fretboard

The bolt-on, 3-piece mahogany neck is seriously stable and combines with a C-profile and an edgeless rosewood fretboard for maximum playing comfort. The sound of the steel strings is picked up by a piezo pickup before being sent to the specially-developed Vividx-B preamp, which kits you out with a 3-band equaliser and a phase switch for extensive tone-shaping options.

Ik heb ook zo’n bass en bij mij heb de B en de G snaar bijna geen output. Bij de hoofdverdeler weten ze ook geen oplossing. Deze bass ligt nochtans zeer goed bespeelbaar. Indien hier iemand ooit een oplossing voor weet zou ik zeer dankbaar zijn.

Ik wilde graag een semi akoestische bas erbij en dan 1 die er ook nog leuk uitziet. 5 snarig met een lage B. En daar zit het probleem. De bas speelt geweldig, voelt goed aan, is niet zwaar en hangt perfect in balans, alleen de output van de lage "B" blijft t.o.v. de rest van de bas zover achter dat het eigenlijk waanzin is dat dit een 5 snarige bas is.
