The Blackstar Sonnet 120 offers pure amplification of the authentic, natural warmth of your acoustic guitar. This compact combo comes packed with enough power and connection options for acoustic duos and singer-songwriters to give their performance the presence and power it deserves. Each of the two channels has a dedicated three-band EQ and Shape control so that electro-acoustic classical, as well as steel-string guitars, or other acoustic instruments can be treated with faithful amplification. Phantom power is also provided on each channel so condenser microphones can be freely connected, and a useful pad switch is even fitted per channel.

The Sonnet 120: Extensive Options

To add more dimension to your sound, four high-quality reverbs are built-in and, if your weapon of choice is a dreadnought or jumbo acoustic model, and the tone is a little too weighted in the low-end, then activate the high-pass filter to balance things out a little. If your tone needs a little more glitter, then hit the Brilliance switch. For performing with backing tracks, these can be easily played through the amp by connected an external playback device using the provided mini-jack MP3/Line input, or simply pair your smartphone, laptop, or tablet to the integrated Bluetooth module for convenient, wireless playback. Recording is even made much easier by the addition of a USB port, and a pair of DI Mix XLR outputs are fitted around the back for direct connection to the PA system of larger venues.
