General
This Fender Acoustic SFX amp is a special edition with a hand-finished Walnut Stain that makes it as beautiful on the outside as the sound it produces. With three 8-inch drivers, a high-frequency tweeter, and a 6-inch speaker on the side, its configuration is rather unconventional. It's this daring design however, that results in its incredibly expansive sound. It has two channels on board that can have up to four effects each, making this acoustic amp highly versatile. Be aware that, as it's a special edition, there are only a limited quantity of these amps available.
Stereo Field Expansion
The SFX in the name refers to Fender's own Stereo Field Expansion. As we've already mentioned, it's the combination of the three 8-inch drivers and the 6-inch speaker on the side that produce an extremely spacious sound that goes far beyond conventional stereo. Add the vibratone effect and you'll be convinced you're listening to a rotary speaker. The delay and chorus effects both sound exceptionally deep too, adding even more dimensions. The Acoustic SFX doesn't just let your audience hear the sound, it envelopes them. With 250 watts of stereo power on board, Fender's Acoustic SFX is suitable for small to medium-sized gigs.
Stylish and practical
For larger performances, the Acoustic SFX can be connected to a mixer using the XLR output. Each channel has a combined XLR/jack and a phase inverter so you'll have no problems when you want to connect a guitar to one channel and a microphone to the other. Each channel has its own Delay, Reverb, Chorus and Vibratone effects. There's even an auxiliary input should you wish to play music through the amp. Finally, the Acoustic SFX amp has switchable voltage for when you're touring overseas.
