General

These phosphor bronze strings from Elixir produce a responsive and expressive sound, ideal for acoustic folk guitars. The name derives from the winding, which consists of an alloy of copper with 8% tin and a small amount of phosphorus. This produces a warm, bright tone with excellent projection.

Nanoweb coating

Thanks to the Nanoweb coating, the string’s winding is protected against dirt, moisture and skin oils. This helps preserve the phosphor bronze sound for longer and means the strings last considerably longer than uncoated strings, without compromising on playability.
