Boss's AC-3 Acoustic Simulator pedal offers electric guitarists the opportunity to create the characteristic tones of an acoustic guitar. Plug your electric axe into the AC-3, and you're able to produce an acoustic sound without having to bring an extra guitar. Thanks to COSM modelling technology, this Boss effect pedal is capable of transforming your electric guitar sound into various acoustic models. There are four models to choose from: Standard, Jumbo, Enhance and Piezo. The latter especially cuts through any mix.

The sound of the Acoustic Simulator's various models can be fully adjusted to your personal preferences. Using the Top and Body knobs, for instance, it's possible to adjust the virtual body resonance. For some extra flair, you can use the AC-3's reverb, which has its own level knob.

Boss has designed the AC-3 for stage applications and travelling musicians - that much is clear from its two outputs. One allows for a direct connection to an amplifier, while the other sends out a line signal to a PA system, a recorder or another effect.
