General
In honour of their 60th anniversary, Yamaha presents the FG9 60th Anniversary Edition: an exclusive premium acoustic guitar that brings together craftsmanship, tradition and innovation at the very highest level. Built entirely in Japan, this FG dreadnought exudes in every detail the dedication with which Yamaha has been developing world-class instruments for decades. The solid spruce top is the beating heart of this guitar. Combined with the slightly thicker back and refined bolt-on neck, this delivers an impressive balance of power, dynamics and precision. Especially when strumming, the dreadnought body comes into its own: full, projecting and controlled, with a response that remains clear even with firm strokes.
Exclusive and unique craftsmanship
Solid rosewood, a wood known for its rich lows, sparkling highs and complex trebles, was chosen for the back and sides. Each one also has a unique grain pattern, making no two FG9 60th Anniversary Edition the same - a subtle but distinct nod to exclusivity. Visually, this guitar exudes an understated Japanese aesthetic: elegant, pure and without unnecessary frills. The natural finish highlights the beauty of the woods used and gives the instrument a timeless character. Naturally, this special anniversary guitar comes with a matching hardshell case to keep it optimally protected. The Yamaha FG9 60th Anniversary Edition is not just any acoustic guitar, but a tribute to 60 years of craftsmanship. An instrument for the discerning guitarist looking for exceptional tone, refined finish and a story you feel with every note.
