General
The L5 115 FA active speaker is the largest in HK audio's L5 series of full-range speaker cabinets. While this speaker produces a hefty bass with its 15-inch woofer, that doesn't mean it doesn't make a great satellite speaker as well. Combined with an optional subwoofer (or several) you have a powerful system that can fill large halls with superb sound. The L5 (Linear 5) system was made to perform in any way you need to, whether in a setup of two speakers on a stand or as part of a full-stack.
Technical features of the L5 115 FA speaker
Thanks to its great construction and components, the L5 115 FA is suitable for many if not any situation and application. A high-quality 1000W bi-amp comprehensively powers the 15-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter, allowing them to perform optimally. As this module has plenty of power, it can handle large peaks and bone-shaking bass without distorting. The 15-inch woofer and tweeter produce a balanced sound that maintains quality at high volume. Moreover, these speakers feature a safety circuit (with PTCs and pilot light) giving you nothing but reliability and superb sound.
The speaker's appearance
he rugged-looking grille of the complete speaker series is right in line with the overall look of the HK audio speakers, making them recognisable from a distance. These features are also functional, however. The subtle speaker foam on the back of the grille looks sleek and protects your speaker from moisture and confetti at the same time - making sure your speaker remains in prime condition. The MDF/birch plywood housing is sturdy and gives this speaker excellent bass reproduction.

De geluidskwaliteit is prima in deze prijsklasse.
Deze satellieten gaan zelfs al stevig laag, zelfs zonder subwoofer.
Ter zijde:Als je denkt deze binnenhuis te gebruiken om jezelf te versterken zit je met deze serie niet goed. De eigenruis hoor je te goed bij lage volumes. Maar dit is ook de bedoeling niet van deze serie. Het dient om je live te versterken voor een stevig publiek.

Klein van formaat , professioneel van afwerking, glashelder van geluid in mid en hoog
afgestreken bass weergave door de 15 woofer.
Na de afgelopen jaren gewerkt te hebben met verschillende actieve systemen, steekt Hk Audio er
- in mijn geval - met kop en schouders boven uit.
