General

HK Audio's L3 112 FA is a full-range active speaker that's suitable for use by amateurs and professionals alike. It's packed with modern features including advanced DSP technology, intelligent limiters and filters. The L3 112 FA is equipped with a 12-inch low/mid speaker and a 1-inch HF driver. This speaker is capable of producing up to 1200 watts of Class-D bi-amped power and has a maximum SPL (Sound Pressure Level) of 135 dB. There's very little harmonic distortion, so you're assured of top-notch sound every time you use it.

HK Audio L3 112 FA: intelligent

Even if you're not an experienced sound technician, you'll still be able to get the best sounds out of the L3 112 FA thanks to the advanced DSP technology on board. It includes an intelligent multiband limiter that protects the integrity of the tone at any volume level as well as FIR crossover filtering that ensures a transparent midrange. There are four built-in EQ presets (Bass Boost, Flat (LF), Flat (MHF) and Contour) that you can use to customise the sound. In combination with the L SUB 1500 A or the L SUB 1800 A, you'll have complete sound system that is powerful enough for an audience of 500 people!

Eén van de betere 12" ( en ook 15" ) speakers die ik ooit heb beluisterd. Dit is een heel muzikale speaker met een voldoende hoge spl.
Ik hoor trouwens géén verschil met de Linear 5 serie en ben eerder geneigd te zeggen dat de Linear 3 zelfs de betere keuze is qua prijs/output/klank.
Ik heb deze getest naast andere merken en types oa. QSC 12.2 - EV ELX12 - Yamaha DSR112 - Linear 5 112FA en voor mij is deze Linear 3 een overduidelijke winnaar: muzikaal / voldoende spl / voldoende laag, zeker tov bvb de QSC 12.2 ( als referentie )
Bovendien in een stevige houten behuizing, weliswaar aan de zware kant...
De enige vergelijkbare speaker is voor mij de Yamaha DSR112. De QSC verbleekt naast deze L3 112FA.
In deze prijsklasse een absolute topper!
Een volgende stap zou zijn de JBL SRX serie, maar hier zit je natuurlijk in een heel andere prijsklasse.
De EV-ETX series is ook een topper, maar wederom: een ander prijskaartje.

goed klinkende speaker zeker als je hem gebruikt met een subje er onder maar als full range speaker voor niet te grote ruimte prima speaker.
min punt dat ik er nu al drie gehad heb waarvan de magneet van de bas speaker los gaat zitten en dus zeer vervelend gaat trillen.
