DAP DLM-12A Active Two-Way Speaker

DAP's DLM-12A is a very special speaker. It is highly compact, but has a built-in amplifier with peak power handling of 2,000 Watts. A durable 12-inch speaker transforms this power into an audible signal. The DLM-12A is the satellite speaker of the DLM series. In combination with the DLM-12SA subwoofer, a powerful combination is created. The DLM series comes in especially handy for mobile applications. This particular speaker is extremely light and compact!

The DLM-12A On the Inside

The peak power of 2,000 watts is produced by the two D-class amplifiers of the DLM-12A. One amplifier continuously delivers 500 watts for the woofer and the other amplifier yields 500 watts to the tweeter. Because D-class amplifiers are used, the weight can remain quite modest as these don't require a transformer. The 12-inch woofer and 1-inch compression driver are made by renowned brand Celestion. These speakers, combined with the massive power of the two amplifiers create a jolting sound pressure of 128 dB and a frequency range of 45 Hz - 20 kHz!

Total Control with DSP

The back of the 12A features a place for the optional USB DSP module. Using the DSP module makes it possible to adjust the internal DSP via a PC or laptop. That means yo ucan adjust the input volume, the EQs, and a variety of high-pass and low-pass filters. The DLM-12A also features two independently adjustable XLR/jack combo inputs.
