HK Audio's PR:O 15 D active speaker is a model that most musicians would happily sell their grandmothers for. This robust speaker is sure to give you years of reliable and pure live sound and has inputs on the rear so that you can easily plug in a mixer or a microphone. No matter what you use it for, you are assured of excellent, noise-free sound, even at the highest volumes. The PR:O 15 D is fitted with a 15-inch speaker that's ideal for music and delivers a powerful sound with strong lows. It's possible to combine the PR:O 15 D with PR:O subwoofers, if you feel the need.
Modern and Robust
The PREMIUM PR:O series speakers have been used for many years by performers, DJs and musicians. That's because they have a robust design and a high degree of transparency for the most accurate sound representation. With a sound dispersion of 90 degrees and a total power output of 1200 Watts, HK Audio's PR:O D series let you reach a wider audience, literally. Thanks to the use of the latest production techniques, HK Audio have managed to keep the price of this new active speaker keen too. The PR:O 15 D is powered by the latest class D amplifier which, together with the DSP, is responsible for a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 130 dB.

Un sub est nécessaire pour vraiment pouvoir pousser bas dans le spectre .

Het voorbije weekend voor de eerste keer gebruikt in een grote hal met verschrikkelijke akoestische eigenschappen, en ja, met live bands. Ik ben nu meer dan ooit overtuigd van deze reeks van HK Audio. De spreiding van deze topjes is zeer ok en ze zijn loepzuiver! Ik haalde aan de PA-tafel (op zo'n 30m afstand) vlotjes 102db met pieken tot 110db. Voldoende headroom dus in een grote hal.
Bij de passieve serie ging er als eens een speaker stuk (sub) of een drivertje van een tweeter. Met de ingebouwde limiter lijkt dit probleem van de baan te zijn en ja... die 1200 Watt versterker is echt wel heel goed afgeregeld.
Ik heb reeds enkele keren op de Linear-reeks gemixt en deze klinkt natuurlijk niet slecht; al moet ik zeggen dat deze Pre:PRO reeks veel minder agressief klinkt. Er zit minder boost in het mid-laag en daar hou ik wel van. Smaak is natuurlijk smaak en met wat EQ kan je al redelijk wat doen.
Ook zonder subs, leveren deze topjes fantastisch werk! Maar de subs erbij maken het echt wel compleet.
Prijs/kwaliteit is, wat mij betreft, ongeëvenaard!
