HK Audio PULSAR PL 112 FA active full-range speaker

The HK Audio PULSAR PL 112 FA is an active full-range speaker that's equipped with a 12-inch woofer and a horn-loaded 1-inch compression driver with a projection of 90 x 55 degrees for a great spread, even at a short distance. Additionally, this speaker features two amplifiers that put out a power of 1,000 watts. This series of speakers by HK Audio was designed specifically for musicians, bands and DJs who are looking for a combination of durability, flexibility, great acoustic performance and high tonal quality.

Wooden cabinet

HK chose to make the PULSAR's cabinet of wood, as it has the best acoustic properties. The built-in DSP (time alignment from high to low, multiband limiter) is tweaked to the construction of the cabinet and ensures a perfectly balanced sound in combination with the 1,000 watts from the two built-in amplifiers. The sound is clear, with great bass at high volumes without affecting the mid frequencies - great properties for amplifying vocals, for instance. Another big advantage of wooden cabinets is their durable and sturdy nature, making them perfect for a life on the road.

Connecting options

On the back of the PL 112, you'll find two XLR/jack combo inputs, each with its own gain control. There's also a third input (RCA) for your MP3 player or other stereo sound source that also has its own gain control, providing you with a three-channel mixer as it were. The first two channels have XLR through connectors, allowing you to connect multiple full-range speakers. Moreover, there are selector switches on the back that allow you to choose between stand alone and system/monitor mode, as well as between flat or contour.
