General
When the 50,000th Palladium amplifier rolled out of the factory, DAP Audio thought it was high time for a facelift. The Black Series is the black version of the popular silver Palladium Vintage amplifiers - you can now choose between two cool colours. This PH-1600 is a class-H stereo PA amplifier that is perfect for a wide range of applications. It can be used in fixed as well as mobile audio applications and is provided with an extensive array of connectors. The Palladium P-1600 has 2x 600 watts at 8 ohms or 2x 900 watts at 4 ohms of power, making it fit for operating large full-range satellite speakers. In bridge mode, the amplifier delivers no less than 1,800 watts RMS, enough even for a small subwoofer.
P-1600: simple controls and built-in security
The DAP Audio Palladium P-1600 is a user-friendly amplifier without any unnecessary bells and whistles. At the front you will find the volume controls of the two channels as well as the on/off switch. The LEDs indicate the status of the signal and the internal automatic security. This P-1600 is equipped with a soft start function and clip limiter plus a protection against short-circuiting, overloading and overheating. At the rear you will find an XLR and TRS jack input for the connecting of your sound sources. The wire clamps can be used for the connecting of the speakers of your fixed sound installation. For a plug-and-play type of connection, you should use the lockable speaker outputs.
The proven quality of the Palladium amplifier
Who is not familiar with the DAP Audio Palladium series? Many have grown up around them, many have started their musical career with them and are still working with them. Just like the silver-coloured Vintage Series, the Palladium Black Series consists of seven amplifiers, varying in power from 400 watts to a whopping 2,000 watts! They all have one thing in common: proven quality and an extremely attractive price. All of this comes in a compact 2U, 19-inch rack size.
