The grey Soundcraft Signature 22 MTK analogue mixer is the multitrack version of the blue Signature 22. Apart from it being a different colour, the Signature 22 MTK also has a USB interface that transmits all 22 channels individually to your PC or Mac instead of a stereo mix. This particular model can receive no fewer than 24 channels from your computer, which is essential if you want give your fans the most accurate reproduction of your live recordings possible. With the exception of the above-mentioned features, the MTK is similar to the standard Signature 22, and offers the same characteristic, British, high-quality sound and solid construction.
The Signature 22 MTK: British Sound
The high-quality, dynamic and natural-sounding Ghost preamplifiers and Sapphire Eqs combine to create the unique, characteristic Soundcraft sound of this analogue mixer. Next to the unmistakable Soundcraft sound, this Signature 22 MTK features high-end Lexicon effects and ample connectors and controls. The five aux outputs allow you to connect no fewer than five monitors, and adjust each individual monitor mix with the aux volume controls on each channel.
Compared to the Signature 16
The Signature 22 MTK is one of the biggest analogue mixers in the entire Soundcraft Signature series, and with the addition of a multitrack USB interface, four more mic/line inputs (XLR/jack), and an extra stereo channel, it’s a big step up from the Signature 16. Moreover, the 22 MTK features five aux outputs instead of four, eight limiters as opposed to four, and a dual effects unit that allows you to use two effects at the same time on the same channel. Alternatively, you can simply use the 100mm faders to create two submixes!
