IGS Audio's V8 Compressor is a 2-channel rack compressor based on a bridge rectifier, consisting of 4 diodes carefully selected for best results. Three high-quality IGS Custom transformers are provided per channel, so you are guaranteed the best sound quality. All rotary knobs are from Swiss manufacturer Elma and work in steps, making it possible to copy a particular setting on the other channel, or to retrieve it at a later time. The extensive and accurate printing on the front panel helps with this.

Packed with useful functions

Both channels can be used separately to give two mono signals each their own compression. However, by using the link switch, you can also process a stereo signal. The two compressors are then linked to give both channels the same degree of compression. Handy extras are the 10 dB switch and the high-pass filter. With the 10 dB switch, the threshold of the compressor can be lowered by 10 decibels, allowing low volume signals to be processed, or very strong compression to be achieved. The filter ensures that bass is not affected by the compressor.
