General

James Hetfield and ESP LTD present the Snakebyte: an impressive EX-style electric guitar based on Hetfield's own custom shop guitar from the '80s. Having received a number of fresh upgrades, you might even say this snake, loaded with EMG JH Het humbuckers, has shed its skin to give you nothing but earth-shattering metal sound. What's striking is that this pair of active humbuckers offers the kind of warmth and dynamics that are normally associated with passive pickups. Basically, even those who aren't big on Metallica will be able to fully enjoy this stunning guitar, which comes including a tailor-made case.

The Snakebyte: Full-On Sound

Both the body and the narrow, U-profile neck are made of mahogany to shape a rich, full sound. Built like a tank, the Snakebyte provides players with the confidence to go all out while the ebony fretboard with 22 Extra Jumbo frets offers completely unrestricted playing comfort. Meanwhile, a TonePros tune-o-matic bridge and LTD locking machine heads ensure all the tuning stability needed to get you through the most intense shows without any issues.

The ESP Brand

In 1975, Hisatake Shibuya opened his Electric Sound Products shop in Japan. His high-quality replacement parts soon earned him the reputation he deserved and it wasn't long before the shop started to turn out its very own guitars under the name ESP. In the 1980s, the brand got a real boost when numerous metal bands, such as Metallica, started to use its guitars. These days, ESP offers a wide range of versatile instruments, from high-grade Custom Shop models to the affordable LTD series.

Ik heb hem vandaag mogen ontvangen en hij speelt heerlijk. Even wennen met de jumbo frets en de actieve humbuckers. Ligt heerlijk in de hand. Geen beschadigingen en goed afgewerkt. Compleet met grote koffer. Top gitaar!

Zeer tevreden met deze gitaar.

Ook de pickups klinken geweldig. Vindt ze beter klinken dan de EMG 81/60. Maar dat is puur persoonlijke smaak.
