General

Ampeg unveil the SGT-DI: a complete bass guitar rig crammed in a stompbox loaded with an improved Super Grit Technology overdrive-circuit. Fire up the preamp via the left footswitch to choose between the Ampeg SVT and B15 voicings, then use the 3-band EQ and integrated sweepable Mid circuit to sculpt your sound to taste by boosting or weakening frequencies in the 200Hz to 3kHz range, or flip the dedicated ultra-hi and ultra-lo switches to tweak the bass and treble frequencies.

The SGT-DI: Deeply Realistic, Fully Customisable Sound

Engage the SGT footswitch on the right before using the Grit control to dial in the drive and the concentric potentiometer on the left to adjust the effect volume as well as the compression. Meanwhile, the built-in IR Loader / Cab Simulator of the SGT-DI serves up three classic cabinets but can also be used to load three external IRs. Plug in a pair of headphones to play in private, or hook up your phone via the AUX input to play over your favourite backing tracks.

Wrote the following about Ampeg SGT-DI Bass Guitar Preamp DI Pedal

Prima DI pedaal met veel mogelijkheden om mijn basgeluid naar een hoger niveau te tillen. Dit zowel in de studio als via mijn versterker. Ik ben er erg tevreden over. Het geluid van mijn passieve Jazz- en Precision Bas krijgt een extra punchin de activ stand en de Agt stand geeft een mooi buizen randje aan het geluid 😁
