General

When life demands an excellent quality, highly adaptable full-range speaker but you're not too keen on busting the bank, the LD Systems ICOA Series just might hold the solution. At the very least, the LD Systems ICOA 12 A is an impressive coaxial active full-range speaker, particularly when it comes to the lower frequencies, because even without an external sub, this speaker capably reproduces a solid dose of bass.

The Flexibility of the LD Systems ICOA 12 A

Next to excellent build quality, one of the most important aspects of a speaker is its sonic flexibility. That's why LD Systems have blessed this model with a coaxial design, a rotatable BEM-optimised CD horn and accurately calibrated DynX DSP presets. This means that the IOCA 15 A can be placed vertically and used as a full-range or satellite speaker or horizontally as a floor or stage monitor while the rotating horn lets you precisely project the sound in the optimal direction.

The Perfect Angle

The efficient yet mighty class-D amplifier that the speaker has been equipped with delivers 300 Watts RMS and a maximum SPL of 126 dB. To put all of that power to proper use, the above-mentioned DSP presets can be used to adapt the speaker to the acoustics of the space it's in. In total, you're given 4 presets, a 3-band EQ and a delay function, alongside two line/mic inputs with individual gain buttons and a mono-mix output. A built-in 36 mm dual-tilt stand flange can be used to mount a separately available dual-tilt stand adapter to set the perfect 0 - 5° projection angle.
