Bearing thoughtful innovation from the lower bout to the headstock, the SA-126 Special has been furnished with a mahogany resonance chamber reinforced by a basswood centre block and finished with a bolt-on neck. From there, this singular semi-acoustic starts to sound a bit like a high-performance shredder, where the super-slim neck has been given an EVH Modified C Backshape; the fretboard has been loaded with a set of twenty-two jumbo frets; and the body has been mounted with a two-pack of high-output pickups. What results is seemingly effortless balance, that supports smooth yet powerful rhythms just as easily as it does fast and technical leads. This Wolfgang van Halen Signature model comes pre-wrapped in a form-fitting hardshell case coated in ivory-cream vinyl and filled with a blue velvet interior.

The EVH SA-126 Special: Another Celebration at the End of the World

The mahogany neck has been reinforced with graphite while the fretboard has been made from dark ebony, which comes adorned with triple-block inlay work and has the tight and controlled feel of a 12 inch to 16 inch radius. The 24.75 inch scale length assures you of a familiar and comfortable feel, while secretly setting this six-string up to become a modern classic - especially since the base of the neck grants access to a spoke-wheel truss rod adjustment system, so the action can be tweaked and personalised with ease. The two Direct Mount EVH SA-126 humbuckers planted at the neck and bridge have been designed by pickup-legend Tim Shaw, who worked closely alongside the EVH Gear team to create a dual-coil pup that can literally do it all. Dial in bell-like cleans or heavy overdrive and distortions at will without losing an ounce of definition. Toggle between both pickups or combine them using the three-way toggle switch and refine the output via the dedicated volume and tone control pots per pickup. Other standout details include the EVH Harmonica bridge, the Stoptail tailpiece, the oversized strap buttons and the set of EVH tuners complete with Keystone buttons.
