A more deluxe edition of the FGDP-30, the Yamaha FGDP-50 drum machine has been expanded by an extra eight RGB pads, a clear display screen and even more functionality. With this meatier version, more instruments or phrases can be imported from a USB stick and your performance can even be recorded and saved to a USB stick. Session Creator has been added, so you can now drum along to backing tracks that span various different genres, and that's alongside Note Repeat, which basically serves as a sort of drum arpeggiator - able to repeat notes and vary both the tempo and interval.

Hook up this desktop-friendly hardware to a computer via USB and use it as a USB-MIDI controller for your own drum sounds and, so you can play through tracks and drum along, an AUX input has even been fitted. To fatten up the sound, the FGDP-50 can also be plugged into an active speaker, bypassing the built-in speaker or, for more private sessions, a headphone output has also been provided.

tout a ete dit dans ces commentaires, fantastique petite machine, un bemol tout de meme ca ne quantize pas les rythmes donc apprends a jouer avec tes petits doigts et ca tout le monde n'y arrive pas.... Apres on est censé etre musicien!

Avant de me lancer, j'ai contacté Yamaha pour leur demander si il était possible de remapper les pads à ma sauce. (impossible de trouver cette info)
Réponse le lendemain: mais bien-sur, les kits sont entièrement personnalisables et sauvegardables dans les banques USER.

Ok alors direction Bax>panier>colis

Après quelques heures de bidouilles je peux dire que c'est une très bonne machine.
Les sons sont de très bonne qualité (je recommande l'utilisation au casque ou sur sono). Pour mon utilisation, les kits acoustiques sont vraiment bluffants, je suis un peu moins convaincu par les kits electro.
Les pads réagissent tres bien, de la courbe de vélocité à la dureté, tout est réglable. L'écran est petit mais il fait le boulot, les infos sont la et ça suffit. La partie session pour se faire les doigts et pas trop mal, on lance un style, on mute la batterie et hop on joue par-dessus en changeant les parties du morceau, on arrive à s'amuser rapidement

La p'tite étoile en moins:
- Les réglages: tout est réglable c'est bien, mais la navigation avec les curseurs est assez dépassée, un petit potard sans fin aurait était bien pratique mais bon.
- Les effets: J'ai mis un bon moment (avec la notice sous les yeux) pour comprendre comment étaient hiérarchisés les effets. Il faut sans cesse naviguer entre les "kit edit", "voice edit" et "pad edit" assez laborieux mais une fois que la logique est trouvée ça va.

Je n'ai pas encore utilisé la partie "record" et "import" de sons/samples.

Voila, après quelques heures je ne regrette absolument pas mon achat, n'hésitez pas si vous chercher une bonne drum machine.
