General

This Yamaha MP TS 5CM mouthpiece for tenor saxophone is popular for solo players. The timbre is a bit richer than that of the 4CM model and the playing characteristics are responsive and flexible.

 The Custom series 

Yamaha's Custom series is the cream of the saxophone mouthpiece crop, developed in collaboration with famous, experienced musicians and made of ebonite. Ebonite is a special type of rubber that's been vulcanised, resulting in a musical response that's very similar to that of wood. The characteristics of this series as a whole include beautiful sound, good intonation, excellent playing characteristics and interesting musicality.
