The Yamaha MP TS 3CM tenor saxophone mouthpiece is an excellent model for beginners, though experienced players can certainly enjoy it too! It produces a clear sound with excellent response in the high and low registers.
The Custom series
Every now and then it's a good idea to replace your saxophone mouthpiece. Not only is it nice to start over fresh with a piece that isn't worn down with bite marks, but the mouthpiece you use also has a big effect on the overall sound and performance of your instrument. It's definitely worth your time to take a look at Yamaha's Custom series for a quality mouthpiece. These models are all made from ebonite, which is a hard vulcanised rubber with woody musical properties. Moreover, Yamaha was sure to consult with experienced saxophone players during their development stages, and their feedback and vision was worked into the final products to ensure quality and performance that musicians can really appreciate.
