Trace Elliot's 1x10 Cab is a bass cabinet that is compact, lightweight and powerful. It's equipped with a 10-inch Pro Neodym speaker that can deliver 300 watts of power at 8 ohms. The 1x10 Cab has dual parallel input jacks so that you can easily connect an additional speaker cabinet and use the ELF bass guitar amp head with two cabinets at once, for instance. Of course, the 1x10 Cab also works with other bass guitar amp heads. If you want a cabinet that is compact, lightweight and powerful, the Trace Elliot 1x10 Cab is an excellent choice.

Wat een super speaker. Klein licht en met een goed geluid. Ik sta verbaasd van hoe hard deze speaker kan en hoe goed het geluid dan toch blijft. Zelfs in de repetitie ruimte met een luidruchtige drummer en gitarist blijft deze versterker oevereind. Dat hij lekker licht is, is heel erg fijn. Dat was voor mij de belangrijkste reden om deze versterker aan te schaffen Naast bas speel ik ook gitaar en ook dat klinkt prima. Ik draai de bas wat terug en de gain wat meer open en ook dan klinkt ie lekker. Ik gebruik hem met Pod Go. Prima cabinet dat ook nog eens breed inzetbaar is.

Geweldige kwaliteit zoals we van Trace Elliot gewend zijn. Ondanks het kleine formaat van deze 110 bas box is het geluid niet klein. Ik heb naast deze 110 cabinet ook de 208 cabinet en de ELF versterker. Deze set is absoluut podium waardig. Voor thuis of repetitieruimte kom je met alleen de 110 of 208 in combinatie met de ELF versterker goed voor de dag. Het kleine formaat en lichte gewicht maken deze ELF serie nu al legendarisch. Wat mij betreft een aanrader voor wie geen zin (meer) heeft in gesjouw met loodzware bass gear, maar niet in kwaliteit wil inleveren.

Onlangs had ik een optreden op een plaats waar met de auto vrijwel niet te komen is. Omdat het volume bij dat optreden niet al te hard mocht zijn en ik nog wat geld over had van de kerstgratificatie, besloot ik in een overmoedige bui deze box te bestellen. Uiteraard nadat ik op internet hier en daar al lovende reviews had gelezen. De opgegeven belastbaarheid zou met mijn Markbass 250 niet echt een probleem moeten zijn. Na de ontvangst van de Trace was ik thuis al blij verrast met de ongelooflijke klank die uit zo'n klein en gemakkelijk draagbaar boxje bleek te kunnen komen. Tijdens de sound check en het optreden oogstte het boxje niet alleen van mijzelf verbaasde blikken, maar ook van de collega muzikanten en de geluidsman die het geluid van de overige instrumenten en de zang verzorgde. Mijn bescheiden installatie had verder geen versterking over de PA nodig. Niet te geloven dat er zoveel uit zo'n klein boxje kan komen! Het lijkt misschien wat veel geld voor een 10 inch basbox met een inhoud van nog geen 10 liter, maar het is de investering zeker waard. Wellicht bestel ik de zeer compacte Trace Elliot Elf versterker er binnenkort ook wel bij, om de Trace sound weer wat te krijgen. Ik heb mijn zware, oude Trace Elliot 715 combo alvast van de hand gedaan ...
