General

Some years ago, the RØDE NTH-100 was released, and what a popular headphone it still is! Could the manufacturer achieve the same success with the RØDE NTH-50 headphones? We'll have to wait and see! In any case, it is a sturdy yet lightweight model with impressive sound reproduction. This is typically one of those headphones that you wear for a long time without really experiencing that you are wearing it, that's how comfortable these NTH-50s are. Ideal for studios, DJs, and if you just want to listen to your favourite music on the couch for hours. There is even a form of noise reduction present, a passive variant that does not consume any energy. This NTH will find its way again, on its way to many new owners!

Wrote the following about RØDE NTH-50 headphones

Ik kocht deze een maandje geleden bij Bax, weliswaar via bol.com. Ik had een nieuwe DJ hoofdtelefoon nodig en twijfelde tussen de Sennheiser HD25, de AIAIAI TMA-2 en deze. De Rode is vrij nieuw, de HD25 heb ik eerder gehad en is natuurlijk een goede keus. De AIAIAI is een stuk prijziger als je de goede drivers wil voor DJ, dus ik dacht ik neem de gok en ga voor de Rode NTH-50. Daar heb ik geen enkele spijt van. Dit is echt een geweldige hoofdtelefoon. Het geluid is perfect voor mixing, de on-ears sluiten ontzettend goed af en het volume kan zeer zeer hoog zonder aan geluidskwaliteit te verliezen. De balans is erg goed. Voldoende laag, maar toch ook genoeg mid en hoog zodat je ook op andere zaken dan de kickdrum prima kan matchen, voor wie dat dog doet tegenwoordig ;) Ook de prijs is voor wat je krijgt ontzettend goed. Het is natuurlijk even aankijken hoe deze de tand des tijds en ruw gebruik doorstaat, maar het lijkt allemaal heel robuust. Ook bieden ze 'lifetime warranty'. Je moet dan wel je product registreren. Dit gaat dan vooral om foutjes in productie, dus iets wat onterecht los komt te zitten.

Ik vind 'm zelf fijner dan de HD25, maar dat zal persoonlijk zijn. De AIAIAI heb ik nooit gebruikt, dus dat blijft gissen. Hoe dan ook ben ik tevreden en zal ik niet anytime soon overstappen naar wat anders. Een aanrader.
