General

Orange has opted to issue a fully analogue amplifier that is sure to shake some trees in the ever-growing forest of digital amplification. The only digital aspect of this amp is its reverb, but only to keep its quality up to Orange's high standards. The Crush 35RT produces a tube-like sound, which is sure to please many guitarists! It has two channels - Clean and Overdrive - a 10-inch speaker and 35 watts of power. Its attractive colour makes it a true sight to behold.

Orange Crush 35 RT: overview

Orange have fitted their Crush series with a specially designed equalizer that is fully adjusted to handle the bundles of character of the amplifier and allows you to perfectly adjust its tone to your liking via three bands: treble, mid and bass. Another practical feature is the presence of a built-in tuner. You can tune your guitar with the press of a button. The Reverb is modelled after a spring reverb, the type that is commonly used in guitar amplifiers. However, Orange chose to fit this amplifier with a digital version to prevent analogue side effects such as static and hum.

FX loop

Guitarists are known to use effects to their heart's content. Modulation, reverb and delay effects work best when they're connected between preamp and power amp, however, which is why the Orange Crush 35 RT has an effects loop for your effect pedals. The loop is fully buffered, so you won't be bothered by the condensation of your cables - keeping your sound as it should be.
