General

Yamaha's Stagepas Series PA systems are renowned for their portability, functionality and sound quality. The Stagepas 200 BTR is the latest addition and comes complete with a rechargeable battery pack so you can keep going into the wee hours. It features an integrated 5-channel digital mixer and produces sound via a two-way speaker system that lines up an 8-inch LF driver and a 1.4-inch HF compression driver. The inputs and outputs are enough to accommodate two or three performers at a time while dialling in the Stagepas 200 is as simple as tweaking the intuitive controls of the fully-fledged mixer section.

Move The Air, Move Your Audience

What's particularly convenient is that all five channels as well as the volume level, EQ settings, effects (including reverb and compression), and the various microphone simulations of the in-built mixer can be accessed and adjusted via the STAGEPAS Editor app for iOS/Android. Here, settings can be saved as 'scenes' that can be called up as needed. Last but not least, the Stagepas 200 features a feedback suppressor and a practical Priority Ducker function that can be activated to mute background music when using a microphone.

Wrote the following about Yamaha Stagepas 200 BTR Portable PA System + Rechargeable Battery Pack

We do public speaking type events in small to medium sized halls (approx. 60ft x 30ft), and wanted a simple setup with the minimum of kit to carry around. The Stagepas 200 proved to be ideal with more than enough power for the audience to hear us clearly. We use Shure wireless microphones and move around sometimes, the feedback suppressor works great and stops feedback if we pass the speaker too closely, there is a bit of an echo, but no squeal. There was no discernible difference in volume between using the mains power and battery. The battery easily copes with a 2 hour event with capacity to spare. A nice feature is the ability to feed a line output to another powered speaker if required, we also use this for the input to our digital recorder. The only real downside is the weight, it is quite a lump to carry around so we would recommend also getting the trolley case as it makes moving it much easier.

Our Ukulele band already own a Yamaha Stagepas 600 BT PA system for outdoor and large venues, and are very happy with that, so when we were looking for something for smaller venues it was natural to look at the Stagepas 200 BTR - the latest offering from Yamaha. We were not disappointed as the small powerful, portable one box rig does it all. Simple and straight forward controls and a one knob EQ system make it easy for even the most inept to set up easily. It has four inputs, so we can run 3 mics (either dynamics, or with its built in phantom power, a set of condensers) and our leader's instrument. The sound from the meaty speaker system fills the room, with power to spare. The boon of the onboard battery is not lost on us as we play in some remote locations from time to time, and has proved a life saver on the odd occasion. The padded wheeled carrying case that came as part of a package deal, also oozes the same Yamaha quality as the PA unit. All-in-all a cracking quality purchase.

Bonne qualité de son pour sa taille, ma fille l'acheté pour chanter en ville.
Néanmoins la batterie est de très mauvaise qualité, moins de deux ans plus tard, il lui reste moins de 30 mins d'autonomie. Le SAV de BAX est injoignable, pas de réponse ni au téléphone ni par mail.
