Wrote the following about Genelec 7350A SAM Studio Subwoofer

Deze subwoofer aangeschaft als aanvulling op mijn Genelec M030's. Geweldige monitoren die ik al anderhalf jaar lang gebruik. Maar omdat ik als sounddesigner het ietwat missende laag aan wilde vullen, ervoor gekozen om een subwoofer aan te schaffen. Omdat het denkbaar is dat ik in de toekomst ook SAM-speakers van Genelec wil aanschaffen, voor deze SAM-subwoofer gekozen.

Het is bijna niet te omschrijven wat een geweldig geluid deze subwoofer produceert. Het is in feite (min of meer) de bedoeling met deze subwoofer de Genelec GLM User Kit mee te bestellen, omdat deze subwoofer doorgaans op SAM-speakers wordt aangesloten. Met deze User Kit kan je vervolgens de opstelling digitaal tunen naar de omgeving waar je in zit. Ik heb er voor gekozen dit niet te doen, ook omdat ik nog geen serieuze studioruimte betrek. Maar ook zonder deze kalibratie levert deze subwoofer een geluidskwaliteit waar je tong van op je tenen valt. Ook tijdens het schrijven van deze review stop ik af en toe om even te genieten van de ongelofelijke diepe tonen (tot 22 Hz) die er van onder mijn bureau vandaan komen. Genelec staat breed bekend als ongelofelijk goed gebalanceerd en neutraal, en deze subwoofer is hier geen uitzondering op. De balans tussen de mid en high van de M030's en de diepe tonen van de sub zijn uitzonderlijk mooi met elkaar verwoven, ongeacht het genre muziek wat je er mee luistert.

Als je op zoek bent naar een knallend, allesoverheersende bass die drie dorpen verderop de autoalarmen af doet gaan; dan is dit niks voor jou. Wil je een subliem gebalanceerd geluid (wat min of meer zeker is als je voor Genelec kiest) maar stiekem ook die diepe tonen die je hart laten kietelen? Denk er geen seconde langer over na en bestel deze subwoofer.
