The Heritage Audio RAM System 2000 monitor controller treats all mixing and mastering studios to three stereo analogue inputs and S/PDIF inputs, and since this is a future-facing unit, Bluetooth functionality is also included, especially since AAC and APTX codecs have become so good that they've started to outstrip the more traditional mini-jack cable. The RAM System 300 also offers space to connect three stereo monitor pairs, includes a mono output for a subwoofer, and two potent headphone outputs. The built-in talkback microphone can be sent separately to the speakers and/or the headphones, and in terms of pure style, a big red Neve-style control knob has been planted in the centre of the control panel. As satisfying as it looks and feels, this knob adjusts the listening level in precise 1dB steps and its this precision that allows the detailed calibration of your monitor set up so that you're provided with consistent audio reproduction.
