Na een uurtje vertoeven in de luister ruimte in de shop in Goes, kwam ik telkens weer uit op de Genelec 8040BPM
Het overtreft zelfs de veel duurdere speakers alhoewel deze speakers ook best prijzig zijn, maar het zeker dubbel en dwars waard zijn.
De hoge en lage frequenties zijn op de speaker naar wens aan te passen.
Ik heb ze persoonlijk wat verder naar achter gezet, wat ik persoonlijk een mooier verdeeld geluid vind.
Dat kan natuurlijk niet op je desk maar met een paar speciaal ontworpen stands van K&M en wel de
Konig & Meyer 26785 design monitorstandaard voor Genelec 8000 is dit een fluitje van een cent.
De kabels zijn er mooi in weg te werken en ze kunnen op elke hoogte naar wens gezet worden.
Want het oog wil ook wat natuurlijk.
Al met al ben ik er heel gelukkig mee, en dat mede door de mannen van Bax die mij een paar geweldige tips hadden gegeven hoe je moest luisteren om voor jou de juiste keuze te maken voor jou muziekstijl.
Dus het loont wel om een bezoekje aan Baxshop te brengen.

Prima monitor!
Wel gevaarlijk hoeveel lage frequenties er uit komen, dat zou kunnen betekenen dat er niet genoeg laag in je mix zit... Na aanpassen van wat filters al een stuk verbeterd.
En inderdaad als nearfield hebben zo toch wel wat afstand nodig om tot hun recht te komen.
Even wennen ten opzichte van mijn oude Yamaha's.
Maar na een maandje luisteren zou ik al niets anders meer willen ;-)

Après avoir travaillé sur des Yamaha Hs7 pendant 10ans voilà enfin que je passe dans la cours des grands avec cette pair de Genelec.
J'ai testé les Adams a7v, les focal solo 6, les genelec 8030 et les yamaha hs8.
Les Genelec 8040bpm ont finalement le résultat qui me satisfait le mieux.
Je travaille dans une pièce de 30m² avec une babyface pro fs, le son est superbe, précis et agréable dans le bas du spectre.
Chez moi le placement des enceintes change énormément la donne (malgré une pièce totalement traitée) ce qui m'a donné quelques jours de recherche pour le sweet spot, une fois trouvé, que tout est calibré et traité, c'est presque parfait.
Il y'a une tension et une fidélité qui rend la musique puissante mais propre.
Très très bon produit !

Het geluid is zo helder, transparant, en toch ook mooi. Ik gaf altijd mijn KRK speakers de schuld van mijn amateuristische muziek. Met deze kan ik wel een mooi nummertje maken denk ik. Ik zal verbaasd zijn als ik straks niet de nieuwe Avicii ben ;)

Bij BAX in Goes circa 12 verschillende monitors uitgebreid beluisterd. Deze bevielen me al heel snel het meest. Na een aantal luistersessies, met af en toe het nodige getwijfel, bleven deze toch favoriet. Wat me er zo enorm aan bevalt is dat het geluid - hoe zeg je dat - zo mooi rond klinkt, niet agressief (het zal niet snel vermoeien) terwijl je enorm veel detail hoort. Het stereobeeld is ook fenomenaal. Echt heel blij mee.
Ik ben nog aan het experimenteren met de opstelling in m'n beperkte ruimte en merk dat ik ze op afstand (>2 meter) iets fijner vind klinken dan van dichtbij (

Was eerst al in de winkel in Amsterdam wezen luisteren, en deze sprongen er voor mij meteen uit (binnen mijn budget natuurlijk). Vergeleken met mijn oude KRK Rokit 6 is dit een verademing op alle fronten.

Lang uitgesteld en was altijd redelijk tevreden met mijn Mackie HR624 set , maar onlangs eentje overleden en zag een vette aanbieding bij Bax voor de Genelecs. Altijd naar lopen kwijlen, maar nu eindelijk de knoop doorgehakt.
OMG wat een verschil. Glasheldere bassen waar ik alle details gewoon in kan horen ipv een modderig geheel met alleen maar volume. Dat had ik niet zo verwacht. Wat een geweldig strak en gedetaileerd geluid.
Mid en high is gewoon strakker dan strak en was ik op voorbereid , maar de low end is een prettige verrassing.
Ook nog even door de Sonarworks room calibratie gehaald voor de laatste puntjes op de i.
Erg blij mee. En Bax service is pefect gewoon.
