The SPL Control One levels up any home or studio production set up with superior monitor control and headphone amplification, in one neat box. Check the progress of mixes by switching through two pairs of studio monitors for the best possible results, and even add a subwoofer to speaker pair A. Two analogue inputs are provided for hooking up external equipment like a mixer, synth, CD player, or analogue tape deck, and via the line-output, a second headphone amplifier, mixer, or tape unit can be linked up. The headphone amplifier section, meanwhile, is unbelievably powerful, delivers phenomenal audio reproduction and supports low-impedance headphones via a built-in buffer.

Extensive Monitoring & the Phonitor Matrix

In terms of monitoring, the options are extensive. Set the switch to the central position and the audio is output in stereo, while the mono compatibility can be checked by applying a special 'channel swap', where the left and right channels are reversed - ideal for checking that the orientation of the audio is correct when video editing, without having to edit the sample in a DAW first. to shape a fully immersive listening experience. The Phonitor Matrix makes this possible by correcting certain aspects of the stereo reproduction that more standard equipment would simply miss, leaving a slightly warped stereo image. Here, the Crossfeed control allows the user to set the 'cross-talk' further to the left or right themselves, meaning that you're able to complete professional grade mixes with the same level of accuracy as you would via the standard studio monitor set-up. This is not just astonishing but revolutionary.
