The SPL Marc One simply sets up any home or professional studio with a superior headphone amplifier and monitor controller with far-reaching functions backed up by superb quality. Set up a dual system of two monitor-pairs and A-B switch between the two to get a wider view of the mix you're working on, and even add a subwoofer to pair A. Two analogue sources alongside a USB link to your DAW can be hooked up to the Marc One, and you can quickly and intuitively set the input balance using the Monitor control knob: set it to the centre for an even output, and nudge it to the left to raise the volume of the stereo inputs and reduce the volume of the USB input, or push it to the right for the opposite effect.

32-bit AD/DA Conversion and Extensive Monitor Modes

Since the Marc One is home to the newest generation conversion chip, every single detail, no matter how small, is given presence and clarity. Sample frequencies of up to 768kHz are possible for supporting DSD (Direct Stream Digital), and the class-compliant USB can be directly connected to an iPad, iPhone, iMacs and other iOS gear without the need for a driver, while a driver will be required for use with Windows operating systems. In terms of monitoring, the options are extensive. Set the switch to the central position and the audio is output in stereo, while the mono compatibility can be checked by applying a special 'channel swap', where the left and right channels are reversed - ideal for checking that the orientation of the audio is correct when video editing, without having to edit the sample in a DAW first.
